Anyone familiar with Orange 912 NDB 912E

This car is for sale at the Bonhams Auction at Goodwood. I know someone interested in the car. Does anyone here know it?

Don't know the car but for the price I would have expected it to be a bit more original - it has a number of incorrect parts on it (eg door handles, instruments, wheels, etc).
Having subsequently seen from the Bonhams' link that the car is in fact a 1968 model, then my comments above about incorrect door handles & instruments no longer apply.

its for sale on autotrader at the moment for 15k by a dealer do a search for 912 and youll find it along with another restored 912 for 20k at simon robinson

I remember this one, as it looked like a pretty good buy last year...
Didn't it sell in just a week, I thought it was a DDKer who bought it?

also it's either a 68 model year or it's a 67 with a 68 interior, and as has already been said above way too much incorrect stuff for that sort of price in my opinion

I've just seen from the VIN in the Bonhams' link that the car is in fact a '68 model...
... therefore my original comments about incorrect instruments & door handles are no longer valid.

Unfortunately it's about 3 hours away, I've been deported to the North! Hopefully down visiting some friends in your neck of the woods in the not too distant future,I'll pop in and you can make me a cuppa... and maybe some lunch!
