Hi, a friend of mine with a 1972 911 2,4 S is looking for:
- Gear lever knob for the 915 gearbox;
- Oil tank sender.
Thanks,

I think you are asking to the oil tank sender.
The part that measures the oil level and send that information to the dash gauge. I don't have one for sale.

Hi,
In case it helps I am pretty certain that the 72 oil tank uses the same oil sender as the earlier oil tanks. Also the 72 car would have a clear top gear knob with the shift pattern in silver. I probably have both but it will be 3 or 4 weeks before I can source them. There is a chap on ebay selling replica gear knobs, I have not seen them in person but they look good.
Thanks
Alan

Thanks Alan, he's looking for the real stuff not repros.
Can you get those parts please?
Please drop me a line (with price inc shipping to Portugal) when you do, ok?
Cheers!

Hi again,
Please continue to look, but if you need them in 4 weeks feel free to contact me then. I will be back from my honeymoon and I am sure I will be suitably relaxed

and can get pics/prices to you.
Thanks
Alan

The sender for the 72 oil tank IS the same as the other years.
The guy on ebay's knobs are nice but the clear top bit falls out. I had to epoxy it in, luckily I found it.
Good luck.
