just relooked again at my car and the ones you have there. I think it is the later ones I want the 74 onwards.. as I think they will hide the real is this right?
I have checked my car and there is a threaded hole ready for the seat belt to go there...

Mark,
Andy confirmed that I have the 74 and later panels fitted to my 73T - this allows an inertia belt to be used - do a search on my interior refurb postings.
Tuthill had to drill a new hole in my inner arch to locate the inertai belts forward enough in the rear panel - the factory hole I had was too far back and would not have aligned with the vinyl panels.
Andy Will I am sure chime in as he answers all my questions !

hmmm now I am confused.. I have followed your thread interesting.. i should look on the 911 side more oftern...
I see Andy's view point.. cut a hole and expose the reel.. no probs there.. but the tidy 74 later ones are a great idea but will need drilling etc. BUT your ones have the very neat plate and nut which will void doing any welding.. and thus a great idea.. and baby's fingers will not get caught up in reel.. BUT you lose lot of space hmmm going to look at my car NOW.. will make mind up in a bit..as car is home for a bit..

Mark - there is an alternative:
Luke mounted his inertia reel mechanism in the std position but modified the top of the '74-on rear arch covers so that the 'slot' was further back:

Nice one Andy as I will take the 74 ones with the slot.
I need a good belt for Jo one I know will do it's job the orginal ones are not that good when you think about it..
Ok nice one with Lukes.. I like that Idea as I am retrimming them any way with the vynal I have here , not 100% correct but it's clean and new. and I have already started re trimming and this stuff matches those Nurburg seats I have..
Andy are you anywhere near Darren ? as we are going to meet up on Friday..
Any Idea's where to get the belts now.. my trade place don't do them any more, and the part number for the ones I need?
Great stuff!!!!!

Don't know if they've still got them but Eurocar Parts used to be the cheapest:
£24-95 + VAT each
So total cost for a pair of belts inc VAT was £58-63.
Eurocar Parts part number is: 956770061
Securon part number is: 500/15

The /15 or /30 part of the part number refers to the length of the female (receiver) par ... /30 is too long.
Here's what you get in the kit (x2) - picture courtesy of tanick:
Not really near to Darren - where/what time are you meeting ?
