Hi and welcome to DDK.
sounds like you know more about the Rallying than most of us would.but there are a few on here that do or have taken part and they are always happy to share information so i'm sure they will be along soon to say hi.

welcome to DDK :) Unfortunatly I don't have any experience of rallying so can't help you with specifics, but any 911 advice you want just ask :)

Have you contacted Mike Bainbridge over at Kendal? He works on quite a few 911 rally cars www.mb-engineering.co.uk).

one of our DDK Northern regulars, Mick Cliff, has a big passion for Rallying too
