fuel pump

my fuel pump on my 1972T zenith carbs has given
up the ghost can anyone recomend a replacement and where to
buy one

Hi BC,

New ones are pretty expensive, try the standard Porsche parts suppliers and let them know if for a carb'ed motor.

The alternative it to fit an inline pump, such as a Facet. These are about £30, the just fit a T piece on the supply to the carbs which acts as the fuel return. It is probably worth also fitting a fuel regulator set at 3.5 PSI.

If you are not doing anything with the old one, I could have a use for it - as spares?

Have you tried to fix the old one ? Don't know what sort you have , but mine on a 73 E was quite easy to take apart and get going again ! (last week)

That's the driving end , driven side is even more simple .. don't loose the bits !!.
My suggestion would be - take driven end apart (2 mins) and see if motor turns on its own ... go from there.
