Rain cover (under engine lid vent)

Like it says really - my engine is open to the wet stuff, and if anyone has (or knows where I can get) a rain cover thingy I'd be grateful as I intend to use the car daily.
Oh yeah - it's a 1968 912.

I've just taken delivery of a 20ft container full of 912 / early 911 spares. I know theres at least two rain trays in there. Can send pics if you send me your email address.

Lots and lots!
I started listing them on the Revival website, but ran out of steam after 50 items. There are some great parts in there, lots of rare bits too. Will finish the list off over the weekend.
Because it was all due for use on a concours car, most of the parts are either in excellent condition or NOS.

Max I have always woundered if it was worth while doing a run of these Rain trays in Glass fiber. Loads of boat places down here ..

Nope, no rain tray fitted on my '12E. Are they a simple fitment? And How much dinero are you looking for?

Yep, could be worth making some up - They seem to be missing on quite a few 912's but they play an important role (Especially for 912's driven in places other than So. California!
)
I heard that these covers were incorrectly blamed for engine overheating issues on 912's a number of years ago - I should imagine these rumours were responsible for many of them being trashed.
Might explain why they're so hard to track down now, especially in good condition?
Boz - Easy to fit, but you do need a set of six hexagonal spacers that are unique to this rain tray. Needless to say these are also hard to find, although it looks as though theres someone on Stateside eBay selling reproductions now. Never thought I'd see the day!
I'll email some pics and prices for you. I have three available in varying conditions.
