Heaters on a 912

Hello all.

Do the heaters on 912s work well?

Mine does not have them connected at the moment and I will probably have to change the exhaust to make them function and buy hoses and 2 flapper boxes etc. Before I spend any cash on the components I require, do they actually make much difference to the inside of the car?

If there is little difference to the cabin temperature when the heaters are working and switched on perhaps a cigarette lighter powered heater would be a better option.

Can anybody advise?

Many thanks as always.

my heater works well enough for it to be comfortable inside the car but it doesn't get up to tropical tempratures. I have had and built a few kit cars and have found that the ceranic heaters work very well but the heat is more localised, certainly cheaper than exhaust flapper boxes ect, depends how often you drive it and in what tempratures mine takes an age to clear the screen but I have one of those demisting pads so not realy a problem.

Many thanks Lewis.

I think I will start looking for a ceramic heater and save on the expense of re-installing the cars original heaters. Any hints on where I may get one from?

Regards
