Picked up my RS this week. The car only has one key, and that is a 90's style key with built in alarm 'plipper' I want to get a spare made up and would really like a proper 1973 style key - any suggestions for suppliers?
Thanks in advance
Paul

I believe they still can be purchased from OPC's - but they regularly come up on eBay - both the black keys (of which your car would have had two) and the red 'master' key.
Here's a couple:

You learn something every day - I just thought I had two different coloured keys!

I have got mine from OPC. From the OPC they were approx £12 ( from memory) which was cheaper than ebay at the time

Hi Paul,
I had a similar problem about a month ago, and ended up getting mine from the local keycutting shop in Holborn. They had to order it in, but it only took a few days and each key was around £7.

Was the key you got from Holborn a proper black Porsche key?
I need one too and Holborn is just down the road for me.

Hi jb,
No, I don't think it was - it looks like a replica to me. The rusty key I received with the car did have Porsche written on it, and I was keen to to make sure the copies I had made did too.
But in the end, I decided I wasn't that fussed, and got the copies made at Timpsons in Holborn (they are just to the left as you come out of the station on Kingsway).
I think if its authenticity you are after, probably best going with the OPC/Ebay option...?
