Hi & welcome
Realistically if you are after advice etc on a 1977 car you are probabally best popping over to
www.impactbumpers.com
There is a really good forum and a great knowledge base specific to the impact bumper cars .
DDK is a great place for the pre-74 911's ( & all pre74 Porsches ) and if you are wanting to back-date your car to the early style

But there is a HUGE amount of knowledge on these old girls on this board - so do stick around

The SC kicks off in '78, so a '77 3.0 would be a Carrera 3.o. Either is a fabulous car (heavily biased opinion there with no apologies given).
Some good impact bumper info on DDK for sure, plus more on impact bumpers too if you fancy a look.

As James said impactbumpers.com DDK is for early cars... but just dip in and out the two forums as your car is still in the era of advice from alot of members...

Yes it does but model year 78 started in August 77.

What can I say? Buy wisely and you can have a car that is as reliable as a labrador.
Moreover, you will often find the same people lurking on both fora.
With regards to your question about pointers: well there is actually on impactbumpers.com quite a bit of information regarding specific areas to the C3/ SC type of cars from people who have asked a similar question to yours. Have a browse: a world will open to you.
Best of luck ah and before we forget: Pictures pictures pictureS!!!!!!

enthusiasts with a passion for pre-74
So unless you've been going around with a banner saying 'I hate pre-74 Porsches' we'll let you stay Glenn

Dragon , Have you already bought this car or are you veiwing ? My SC is a late 77 and looked stunning with massive history file. See my restoration thread (My restoration baptism ) To see that history files dont stop bodging bast***s and galvanizing dont stop rot after 30 years
