Woessner Pistons are forged using a 4032-T6 Alloy which is relatively high in Silicon and similar to the material used by Mahle.
I have a couple of sample Woessner's and they seem to be very good quality.
The JE for 911s is manufactured from 2618 alloy which is lower in silicon than the Woessner and will tend to expand more from cold.
If you have a re-bored cast iron barrel the JE will tend to give a small amount of piston slap when cold as it will need more clearance than the Woessner.
The JE may be stronger at extremes of performance. JE's are also quite heavy compared to Woessner.
Woessner have a fairly limited range of standard pistons which is a limiting factor as their custom designed pistons are quite expensive.
I have just ordered 5 sets of Woessners' and expect them to be delivered in two to three weeks.
