A long shot I know but I need a pair of 911 15" steel wheels that have been widened to 7" (like in the picture below) ...



Anyone got a pair or know where there are any ?

Alternatively, does anyone know of a UK company who could widen a pair for me ?

The best way is with new rims onto Porsche centres.

I did look into this a long while back..Dunlop used to sell rims and we used to make wide wheels for the rally beetles..but I could not get a contact recently.

But Mercs Vlovos etc run 5 by 7 nch rims, and are not hard to find around the scrappers.

Otherwise, Weller used to do reasonable baded wheels which are now illegal, but may have acess to Dunlop etc factory rims..

My preferance would be to re-rim some porsche centres. I think some of the landrover boys do this.

I have been looking into the banded wheel thinng & the 'illegal' bit doesn't seem to be supported by anything anywhere in writing.

These were firestone rims..

I think Bill Woods may still have them for sale..8 inch tho'

can't recommend anyone, but you could use these 7" rims as doners, cut out the centre & weld in a Porsche centre
