Blaupunkt Frankfurt FM radio with ivory knobs/buttons. This would have been a VERY expensive optional extra if you purchased a brand new car back in the 50s or early 60s. It would look at home in any early VW or 356…

1970s genuine VW radio. Here’s a bit of history…For the 1968 model year, Blaupunkt and Grundig were commissioned by Volkswagen to produce their new range of accessory radios, complete with chrome faceplates, to complement the new VW model range (upright headlight Beetle, Bay Window Bus). From 1972, this range of radios were also available with a black faceplate instead of a chrome one….
