Hey, I'm interested in an affordably priced book on early 911s that explains the different models and options on the cars. Any help?

Patrick Paternie's little red 911 book is what you should have.
All facts and numbers - not expensive !

And for me Peter Morgan's "Original 911" is great - not perfect - but a good read.

100% agreement here, not perfect but very interesting. Another one I like is Chris Harvey's
Porsche 911 in All Its Forms. Buy the later version cheap on eBay. The best part about it is it has a great compendium of road test comments for most of the cars over the years, as well some interesting other stuff. Think my copies cost me about a fiver each which is a bargain.

Yup - with you on this John - but I am a bit biased - Chris Harvey always featured the photo of my car - first colour plate, next to page 122 - and here she is today

Lovely, also love plate thirty; the RSR, one of my favourite 911 pictures for sure. Great book to have a car in
