A friend of mine is looking for a reasonable crankshaft for an engine rebuild. It is for a 2.4E engine but my understanding is a crank from any 2.4 or 2.7 engine will be the same. Thanks for your help.

Mike

Hi Mike,
I have a crank, I think it is a 2.7 but will check. I thnk it is sound but will need a grind(who goes this far on an engine build and doesn't do this bit!)
I will come back to you over the next few days when I have had a chance to have a look at it.
Regards

Mike,
I have had a look at the crank, unfortunately it is a 2.0/2.2 crank I think. The mains and big ends are the same size, which makes it an early one I believe.
Sorry not to be able to help.
Any good for anyone else outthere?
