can anyone recommend a good eze-bleeder that fits the early 911 resevoir?

I guess you mean pressure bleeder?

If so I can recommend the Motive, see here:

This is from USA supplier Pelican parts. I remember seeing someone in the UK selling a similar product, perhaps sealey tools?

not used one myself, I have a very old ez bleed ssytem with lots of differnt caps, seems to work well on the 911.
