wheel referb..

need to get the wheels re-ferbed.
question is what can i stick on the car while the 14" are being done? or am i going to have to stand it on axle stands

Depends whos doing the work and if they want to refurb yours or exchange, when I got mine done by biagio I sent him a deposit to do the work then he refurbed some from his stock I just exchanged my wheels on the same day when they were done. Had to put it on axle stands for a few hours while I went to collect.

As stated Biggio exchanges like for like (size) refurbed ones from stock. Isn't he your way Helen?

What, having them refurbed
You'd need to take the tyres off and then refit them.

search e-bay for fuchs wheels you will no doubt find him, his ID is rockchick. He can get the tyres swapped for you when you collect, I think he has an account with a local tyre firm.

im told these 14" wheels are quite sort after, so well worth spending the money on.

Biaggio did my wheels - pics of them are on my restoring thread. He lent me some temporary steel wheels while he was working on them.

I reckon 14s fetch about the same as 15s
I'd be tempted to swap to 15s the choice of tyre and smaller shoulder profile will make the car handle a whole lot better. Did with mine anyway, although I stepped up to 16s on mine, which look OK on a fat bumpered model.

Im still in Belgium qnd have a set of 15 inch coockies with tyres on to use if you like. I'll put them in Jazi and can drop them off.
