Hi guys just joined the DDK after buying a 356 replica, im located in the north of england and at present the car is located in Florida.
I was lucky enough to be the first person to contact the seller after seing an ad on TheSamba.com website. Advertised as an unfinished project at $1000 I contacted a friend in florida asked him to give the seller a call see if that was an accurate price. I bought it there and then, Its a complete rolling shell with all the parts needed to build it up. Comes with a spare 1500 Sp motor and Transmision. and boxes and boxes of other parts. In a week or two its in a container over the atlantic to my humble abode. Sadly the seller ommited to mention it had rolled of a trailer into a substantial oak tree and put a nasty crack in the front apron. not an insurmountable problem but more than i had expected. So when it gets here im pulling apart what has been done and starting over. Work will continue over the winter hopefully to run for a while and then sell it in the spring/summer. Id keep it but have far too many projects
Just saw the thread on the SVA which has started to worry me. But if it has to be done then im good with that.
provisional pics can be seen on my amateur website

any hints and feedback always welcome
