Is it possible to fit 6" rims to a stock bodied 914. My 2.0s rims are 5.5's running on 185/55's. After having a peak the fronts seem okay and the rears would just about go in if on say 195/55's.

Anyone able to comment???

Cheers Dan

6x15's (Deep 6's) fit with no problem with 185/60/15's

remember you'll also need the hub/discs converting to 5-stud, I've got some handy tools for the job if you need to borrow them, nothing technical just a hub puller and bit of scaffolding for the castle nut.

Any bigger with the wheels and you may have to 'tweak' the arches, Kevster has some bigger wheels on his car, hopefully he'll chip in

I had 6" Cookie Cutters on both my 914/4s
Cheap, suit the car, and fit well with the correct ET.

theres plenty of space up front, i had 16 x 7s (fuchs) just to try and they cleared fine. Its the back you have to watch but 7 x 16s do squeeze under depending on the body (mine was 1/2" difference side to side).

With a bit of arch rolling and teasing they go ok though. WIth 16s you can go low profile and match up the original circumference to keep your speedo realistic. 205/55 16 will give you only 2% overreading (depending on original wheel size).

consider me chipped in gilbert
