SC Owners Measurement Help Needed

Ive fitted some SC flares to my early car, and now ive got it back on its wheels it looks like the wheel is too far back in the arch. Im not sure if its just me being paranoid or if ive fitted the flares too far forward. I would really appreciate it if any SC owners could measure along the bottom of the 1/4 panel from the back corner where the panel meets the light along the panel to the front corner where the curve of the arch goes flat just before the opening. Measuring to the corner where the flat section starts. Ie not including the flat section.
Not a very good description but hopefully someone will see what I mean. Due to the curve on the arch you need quite a flexible measure.
Thanks in advance Steve

Do you mean this dimension (red arrow) ?
If you lined the torsion bar hole (in the flare) up with the end of the torsion bar, the placement should be correct.

Hi Andy
Yes thats the measurement I mean, I did centralise the spring plate in the centre of the hole and I also did it by the measurement from the back of panel to the arch as there is a bit of flexibility in the panel, I think im just been paranoid but then it doent hurt to double check before it gets any paint on it. Just noticed though in your pic the wheels also seem more towards the back of the arch with a bigger space at the front.

Just measured my black RS-bodied car:
left side - 34.5 cm
right side - 34.5 cm
& I saw on Pelican that you were asking about the distance between the inner wing & the wheelarch lip so I measured those too:
left side - 29.6 cm
right side - 30.0 cm
these measurements at at the top centre of the wheelarch

Andy did you measure to the bend infront of the flat or across the flat to the end of the panel? I get 33cm this is the measurement I got from and SC to line up the panel. Are yours original RS flares not SC? this could account for the difference. The distance from the inner wing to arch is same within 1mm one is 30.1cm the other is 29.6

They're RS flares - I measured to the end of the curved section where it meets the flat portion.
