all indicators not working but all flash when you turn alarm on, any ideas what the problem could be?

What about when hazards are turned on? If they flash with the alarm but not with the indicator switch my first guess would be the fuse that feeds the switch.

Do the hazards work if you turn them on (assuming you've got them)?

As they work with the alarm unit you can obviously dismiss everthing bulb/earth/holder wise so all you're left with is: fuses, indicator switch, hazard switch, flasher unit (unlikely if you're getting nothing at all, more likely if they were sort of working, but with odd symptoms). Plus of course connection to all of the above.

Did they suddenly stop working during a journey, or has the car been left? Has any work been done on the car, or anything odd happen to it (yomping, doors blowing shut hard, jump starts, left with indicators running for ages etc etc)?

If nothing comes to mind, try the following:

If hazards work, and unit is shared with indicators, suspect indicator switch.
If no hazards fitted, or hazard unit separate from indicator, not to worry: first try indicator switch in all positions, including industrious wiggling: if nothing at all, indicator switch was probably O.K. (assuming you've not now just broken it ( )). If you get the odd bit of life out of indicators, suspect switch.
Still no sign of life: leave indictors in 'On' position, and wiggle column connectors plus bulkhead connectors. Also check/wiggle fuses.
Still nothing? Suspect flasher unit.

Must either be the switch itself or the wire to the switch then I would have thought. Possibly could also be the flasher relay as I think your alarm would have its own relay and not use this.

Also check all the plugs under the dash are tightly pushed together they can come undone with vibartion etc.

I think he's still damping down from the electrical fire .
