Can anyone advise me whether a VW type 2(2Ltr) exhaust fit my 1974 2ltr 914?

not sure, I think they have different flanges? if the flanges are spaced correctly and it fits will the tail pipe and silencer fit/look right? Sorry I'm probably just asking the questions you are thinking. Somebody help!

Not sure that it will as the 914 exhaust bolts onto the two heat exchangers only and I thin the vw one bolts onto heat exchanger and heads (like a beetle).

why would you want to bolt a bus exhaust on?

1 - fits in exactly same way as 914 i.e. flange only

2 - why fit a bus silencer? As it appears to be exactly the same part and as yet I haven't sourced a reasonably priced 914 box. Pehaps someone could point me in the direction of suppliers.

I thought the 911 sausage exhaust was the 2litre exhaust, but looking on mittlemotor & pelican looks like the bus exhaust was too

Hi folks, can tell everyone that the VW exhausts for type2 1.7, 1.8 and 2litre and type 4 exhausts will not fit the 914 as the distance between the VW ehaust flanges is greater than on the 914.

Managed to obtain a stock exhaust from Karmann Konnection.
