Replacement Ignition and door lock barrels

Following my bare metal respreay I took a good look at my 73' door locks and ignition lock. They look well and truly worn out - certainly looking at the state of the key! Appears that the door lock key barrels are interchangable - hope this is correct? But are they interchangable with the ignition barrel? Other than Porsche, who no doubt want mega bucks, is there a source for new matching keys and barrels for the ignition and doors?
Many thanks
John

If the ignition is ok, you should use that as the start. (As a side note it is very difficult just to get the barrel out of the ignition, most people change the whole ignition.) If the key is ok, then it's pretty straight forward to re-key the door locks to suit. If the keys no longer work, get a key made for the ignition (there are plenty of mobile locksmiths that can do this) and then re-key the door locks if required.
