Northern run: Southeren Riff-raff meet on M1?

Would any of the participants of the Northern Meet like to drive oop in convoy from somewhere in the midlands?

I presume that you will be taking either the M1 or the A1, so we can meet for example near junction 25 off the m1 at a set time, to go down to the A1 near grantham to meet the second lot?

Best regards,

Bert

By the looks of it, I will finish in Mansfield by about 3 pm. The routefinder indicated to the CB inn a good 130 miles and about 2 hours 37. (we'll see about that then  )

nonetheless, I will be at junction 29 of the M1 by about 3.20 pm.

This link will give an idea about motorway services:
http://www.motorwayservices.info/list.php?by=road

I took, as an example, woodall services btw junction 30 and 31 as a reference point.
Bootsy, leaving norfolk at 1 pm, routefinder says (norfolk county hall =>woodall) 3 hrs 10, ETA 4.15 pm

Darren (gilbert 71T) leaving London at 2pm (British library=>woodall) 3hr 3 min, ETA 5.15 pm

Mike, Barry, where will you leave from?

Would you guys think it is workable to meet up. Woodall services to the CB inn is about 116 miles and 2 hours 25 mins drive.

Best regards.

I imagine Bootsy will take the A1?

Personally I always prefer to travel the A1 as it gives you plenty of 'escape' routes & has the roundabouts etc to have fun with.

Just keep an eye out for those speed cameras in the middle of the country

Hi Ya'll. I'll potter my way up through the day: it's around 300 miles for me (give or take), so I'll probably get there more or less when I arrive  .

It's just a bit too far away to meet up this time, so I'll see you all there :) .

all a bit vague at the moment for me as to what time I will be leaving, but will call on route. Might go early to beat the traffic :?:

And as a token of my generosity, I'll buy Philip's beer all weekend.
