Anyone know how much a completely stripped 911 shell weighs? Or more to the point how man men it takes to lift one?

Thanks Steve

I wouldn't want to lug it far, but two strong chaps can move a shell around, or atleast on and off a dolly or frame. Remember pick with your legs and not your back

im wanting to estimate how many people id need to get it onto a trailer, maybe could put one end on the base of my 4 wheel engine stand and get a couple of guys to lift the back and roll it on.

Steve, I would say four as a minimum: they get heavy very quickly, and although I find two of us can move a shell around, to do a straight lift-and-carry is a different matter.

Even with four, you wouldn't want to go jogging with it: I seem to remember the wieght of a bare shell is well over 300kgs?

Reminds me of a picture I think many of you have seen of 2 German/Austrian ladies in the Porsche factory carrying a 356 shell across the factory yard to be fitted out
