hi
i currently have a 1973 911 2.4t engine in the back of my baywindow camper and the alternator has decided to call it a day and has stopped working altogether so i have had a look for a replacement , i have looked on pelican and also in gsf car parts and have found they are no longer available and i would like some advise on which other alternator i can use instead and will fit on the orignal fan and housing
thanks
andy.

Hi Andy,

There are quite a few versions some of which will only fit certain fan housings and also should match the regulator. It might be easiest just to get yours re-wound/fixed.

I had the 911 alternator refurbished on my 914 - cost about £150.00.

thanks for your replys, but i could also do with a few extra amps as i also run hydraulic suspension and a pc system so when i'm on hols down south i can watch tv, play dvds when the weathers not so good outside so any info on an upgrade would be greatly recieved
many thanks
andy.
