Mark, have you checked the earth strap ? try temporarily clipping a jump lead from the starter body to the car body ground to reinforce the connection.

Thanks for the suggestion Tim, but I managed to snap it and bought a new thicker one and fitted that - still the same result

Rinsed, washed, rinsed, washed, rinsed, washed then final rinse, dried off, wax & polished, wiped down interior, hoovered, silver bits extra polish, rubber trims dressed and windows polished inside & out...only taken me 6 satisfying hours. I'm knackered!!!

Collected the seats from the trimmers (and bumpers from the painters) and re-united them with the car.
Started the engine for the first time since the rebuild. Tightened the sump plug and oil tank drain plug.

I've very pleased, its something we've been working on for 18 months now. They're not yet the finished article, but will be enough to get some miles on the car. The work was done by Joe at Trimdelux: http://www.trimdeluxe.co.uksladey wrote:Yep - gorgeous seats - houndstooth beautifully retro-fies modern seatsshoestring7 wrote:Collected the seats from the trimmers (and bumpers from the painters) and re-united them with the car.
