You're on carbs aren't you Andrew? My fuel pump is in the boot area, but if you could locate it where the original was that seems like a good plan

The photo is of the original fuel injection fuel pump.

If you are going to be still running on carbs, the fuel pump you are using can be mounted to the removable plate via two fuel pump rubber mounts.

Thanks Darren, it took a while to convince myself to stick with orange but I found a picture of one that looked nice and I stuck with it. Looks better once you start to put bits back on it

Does anyone know the size of the hole in the rear firewall which the fuel lines run through? My rear wall was repaired and the hole sealed up.

The rubber grommet that holds the fuel pipe measures 15mm so Im tempted to say thats what it is but the hole may be 14mm and rubber allows for a tight fit. Ive drilled a 13mm hole (the biggest drill I have) and its too small so Im sure its 14 or 15.

Also has anyone used pipe clips in the tunnel section or does the fuel line just get secured at the rear firewall and the front?

Ill be using copper for the length of the tunnel and the inside of the engine compartment then switching to bio fuel line.

I need to insert a single line for carbs too. Just checked the fuel line holes and they are both 14mm. I guess they just had different size rubber grommets. The fuel pipe in the tunnel is held in place with folding tabs.

Assuming your using new rubbers to seat the new pipe i would just drill to the size you buy. Are you using 8mm o/d kunifer piper pipe for the tunnel?

the original rubber is one of the bits that actually lasted and looked ok. The diameter might be 14mm but as the rubbers are old the ends have bellowed out a bit.

The pipe I ordered is 8mm, not sure if its kunifer or not Ill check that.

Thanks for the heads up on the folding tabs. Ill have another look I might have use the tabs for something else:-)

12 quid for a drill bit and around 5 seconds to bore out the extra 1 mill. Anyone need a 14mm drill bit let me know.

Ran the pipe through the tunnel. I channeled it in some conduit for extra protection and then secured the conduit. The front rubber is in place and the rear one, I just need to cut the pipe on the rear and then make another flange which Ill do tomorrow. Tooo cold now:-)
