Thanks, has the design changed over the years?
All the pictures I can find are slightly different in grip and the line of the spokes across the top, ie;

Yes, the design was modified - yours is the original ( more pleasing) style.

It was probably the most common Momo steering wheel seen in the '80's ...

OK, thanks; it is stamped 1988, the year I bought the 911.

£15 at one of the early and much missed Husband Crawley Porsche Autojumbles.

A Brit alternative for you, fitted by the original owner and according to the nice lady Jill at Motot Lita about 30years old.

Moto lita 14" Mk4 leather bound, outer diameter is 365mm.

Darren:
Indeed it is nice, never seen another on anything (so far).
Have always used it wearing leather faced gloves, keeps the rim really nice.

Motolita's are very classy back then!

The present Motolita range is still pretty close apart from the signature position.

The MK4 is still available and upto 380mm. I am tempted by a wood rim!

As previously posted ....

I run an old (early 70s) MotoLita with the logo on the bottom centre spoke. - about 365mm I think

It's on a Momo boss with an adaptor / spacer ring to allow the MotoLita to be used and to space it a little closer to the driver

I've taken one of their billet centre pushes and played around with it ( painted and added Porsche crest)

I've also brushed the spokes to match the dash trim

After running many steering wheels this one just feels right and is the perfect size for me

And that is the cruch, it must feel right, dia, thickness and position all give the comfortable position that simply fits and adds to the whole enjoyment of the car.
My 12 month 'deviation' to a Nardi Wood rim, same dia but so so thin rim just did not work.

The Monte Carlo is simply right.

Good grief, just read that, but it is so true.
I'm sounding like Darren!! :cyclopsani:

Very cool I think much better than the momo's (that I have on the 911)
Brit made - have one on 356 since '60's

Nice new acquisition for me

Very early Mota Lita

Late 60s

Comes off a famous little car which I have pictures of

Same size as my current one pictured above (360mm ish)

However this is a flat one with a thinner rim which feels superb - given the size it should feel just right on the car.

Lovely patina to the leather - needs some feeding and detailing

Image

Small Moto Lita boss fitment which will require an adaptor or a bit of engineering but that's in hand

Horn push wise I'll have a few options but will probably build something up with a Momo as a base and who knows what else - starting to have a think on that already.

When you do the horn push it needs a smaller diameter logo in my view, not much bigger than the center hole itself. Great looking wheel though.
