I'm having a centre fill tank and so there is the small matter of making a suitable tank and neck.
Here's a few shots of an installation I've admired.

So fabrication is underway.
However.... there have been casualties along the way.

This is Bertie. He's sad. :(

That's because he's now only got a cheapo plastic dog bowl.
An uncaring owner took his lovely stainless steel one....

It’s a nice idea Mark. The car had been owned by one of the bosses at Modena Lamborghini (service department).
He’d stripped the car and never got around to doing the RS rep he’d intended. The guys in the workshops had been tripping up over it for nearly 10 years. They wanted it out of the way. They couldn’t quite believe it would ever be restored.
Mind you despite working on exotics all day they asked me to pop back in the Porsche once it was completed. I’d better deliver on that promise.

Nice work! 8)

I can imagine those Lamborghini guys are going to have quite a shock when you return

Any chance of a few pictures from when the really nasty detail work had to take place sorting the roof replacement, outer panels, etc.?

Would be fantastic to have a full record in the resto section of another great piece of work :P
2006 RHD 997 Carrera (but DDK remains in my heart - also now no longer)
1972 LHD 2.4T with '73 2.4T CIS motor - gone to a new DDK home
1994 RHD 993 Carrera - gone!
1968 LHD 911L - was the Wife's but now in new hands :-(

Yeah, I'll have to do it. The mechanics there were genuinely keen to see it back.

Paul,

Having experienced the (correct for my car but later type) sport seats, they can sometimes be "tight" around the derriere.

Have you "tried" them? Were they still comfortable after emptying your pockets (wallet etc ;) ) Can you do some long distance driving without feeling numb?
