looks good numbers Matt .. around 5000 rpm is my favourite bit in our S's as thats where you feel it coming on cam .... deffo lift that red line to 7200 .. although from memory power does drops off so you wont gain any numbers but it does give you that little bit extra stretch if doing a full bore overtake .

Out of interest , do you have any ignition values and afr's from teh pull ?

I’ve got this ignition curve from the AKI Electronics programmable CDI module - we pulled back the advance from 39 to 34 at 5,800 purely for engine preservation…

Interesting. My 914 showed 187bhp flywheel and 156lbft of torque. 900kg in road trim. How much does the 'S' weigh?

“Empty weight” (whatever that is) 911 T: 1,050 kgs; E, S & Carrera 2.7: 1,075 kgs

So 914 performance should be better than 911 S!…

If I’m reading it right, looks like you re running lean at top end, but right at the top end that could be the soft limiter kicking in

Ha! It is definitely far more lively than a stock 911S but then the 914's far from stock, with an enlarged engine that pumps out more than double the original horsepower, and far less weight. If you carried out the equivalent mods on a 911S, there'd be no contest!

Got my car back from Southbound and am really pleased with it. Quality of work is great. Away for a bit now so not much chance to use it but already loving the sports seats and glad I persevered on finding those courtesy of RB.

In the end the RS doorcards swapped, sourced new pockets and fittings and all the rods etc. new dash from Porsche with custom double speaker for original centre one. New carpet, dash, a, b panels and rears. Seats done as per build sheet In midnight blue perforated trim 16 with vinyl rears.

Knee rails are original and were beautiful under some old leather. New glovebox from Phil.

Few bits I want to tackle over the winter. Primarily reducing wind noise through door hinge area. For now though super happy.
