Scooted down to the PCGB stand at the silverstone Classic race meeting, such a good day in many ways.
Cars were out of this world.
My favourite:

Thought you’d like the Dulon Graham! I was telling my fellow scrutineer (and 914/6 owner) about your Lola!

That shot is familiar!
I was standing right next to you and the other Scrutineer while you both examined the car, it's front had been off, the rear had been to.
I was hoping to meet/chat to the driver.
I think a 2 litre and side shift 914 box. Very quiet car when running down the holding lane pre-event despite open pipes.
Have seen the car before at Silverstone but maybe a decade ago or more.
This morning the wife wanted to go back for another day!

Finally got my car ready to go on the laser alignment set-up next week...
Change of wheels and tyres, too.

Keith, I've lost count of the wheels you hve had on this car!
These though certainly look the best imho.
Good luck with the beams.

Went back today and spoke to the owner - the engine is a 2.0l from a ‘69S 911 rebuilt to 906 specs including twin plug, cams but on PMOs not Webers (as they weren’t available when the engine was rebuilt) but the big discovery is that the gearbox is genuine 906! (I could see the gearbox number on the bell housing) Worth more than the whole car!!

Graham runs PMOs (?) so not much wrong with their performance?

Thanks for those details, good to know.
There is a red car with a Dino engine too, love the cars design.
The yellow Dulon is so similar to the LOLA, but about 100 bhp more and a s l o w gearbox.
The PMO carbs are great Neil, and could do with a good tune!

Took the 2.2 S out for a 90 mile drive in the Cotswolds with a small group of air cooled cars including a genuine TR and another SWB reputedly once belonging to Betty Haig. Some of the road surfaces on the very minor roads are really appalling.

Had a drive around the Silverstone track today at the festival. A great weekend. It’s a shame it was the final one. Next year Car Fest takes over.

Great picture. Was there yesterday too. What an epic event, so much to see and so well organised. Worth every penny. Didn't know it was the last one

, I'm a bit gutted. Hope they don't change the recipe too much.

At the start of the year, I'd said that I'd try my hardest to get the 964 out at least once a month, and with August drawing to a close I grabbed a quick half hour run out. It was sunny when I left.

It is probably a reflection, but looks like a third person in the car behind the roll cage!
