Hi Jasper
Re the bullhead - there's usually a few on eBay but some seem to be of suspect origins.
I did a WTB ad and put it on a forum - had a few makes offered but the Seiko was the coolest in my eyes, and cracking value - came from a collector in San Diego who wasn't wearing it much.
(Favourite watch currently)
if you do a google search there's a good article on the seikos - let me know if you can't find it and I'll have a look.
Good luck - you'll find one with a bit of searching there not really that rare.
The brown dial is great with lovely gold subs - very 70's.

An acquired taste for sure. I prefer the smaller ones than the full size

Junkers
I know it's not an expensive Rolex, IWC or Patek but Mrs G very kindly treated me to a very nice new Junkers JU52 watch when we went skiing in Austria over Xmas.

I really do like the watch, however the heavy leather strap was proving to be a little too bulky so I visited my local dealer 'Red Army Watches' in Singapore over the weekend to replace it with something more acceptable.
After some time mulling around this crazy and predominately (no surprise) Russian watch shop, the sales lady kindly informed me that my particular Junkers watch strap was modelled on a WW2 Luftwaffe Navigators watch and designed to fit over a bulky flying jacket (remember I know absolutely bugger all about this subject) at which point I was directed towards this web site which illustrated the original Laco B-UHR watch it was modelled on:

Wow, what a wonderful read and boy those Germans certainly came up with some very nice time-pieces in an attempt to blow up my Grandad whilst Mr Porsche was busy furthering his trade by designing tanks.

Laco today - http://de-timekeeper.com/laco
Clearly a lot more to this Horological thing than just landscape gardening - I might just be hooked

Porsche watches / Atomic clock controlled watches
What do people think of the Porsche watches ?
Anyone know who makes Atomic Clock controlled watches, I know there
is a Ceramic watch which is controlled by the Atomic clock, its German or Swiss. A German company that I represent, give this Ceramic watch for 20yrs service with Company. The Boss has two Zonda's inc an F and 10 Ferrari's.
