Just picked up stuff for the 964's big service:

Which isn't exciting. But seeing that there's now 'classic' oil for 996s? That makes me feel old:

Decided to make my own rear jacking boss come tow loop and the simple tow loop for the front.
You can buy these but around £150 the pair, so invested £40 in materials instead, time is free.

You need these to compete in the 911 nowadays, didn't when i hillclimbed the car 2 decades ago.

If i get my entry to the event I will have to paint the loop yellow, but until then it will be satin black.

I'll be miffed if I don't get into Shelsley!
Got to find my old 4 point racing belts in the Lost World, the loft...

28th Feb and a welcome bit of sunshine, salt all washed away and puddles pretty much all dried up so walked over to Historit and got the S out - a full tank of Esso Supreme and some Porsche Classic Fuel Additive back in November and pleasingly started first time and was good as gold thereafter - no fluffing or anything.

A 30 mile round trip to see my mates at Progressive Motorsport in Brackley who ran the Audi Sport works team LMP effort from R10 TDi to R18 with Dr Ulrich (see the excellent “Truth in 24”, parts 1&2 on YT if you haven’t already).

They still look after an R8, R10 TDi & Bentley 2003 LM winner for Shaun Lynn and were just off to Paul Ricard for testing. They’ve also just taken delivery of the Koenigsegg CC-GT still born GT1 car (1 of 1) for full strip-down and rebuild prior to Classic Le Mans (Endurance Racing Legends) which it will be racing in (as well the R8 and Bentley)…

Glad to see the “up-cycling” worked out Graham - very tidy handy work indeed!
Cheers

There are a couple of the ‘new’ blowers running this year as well so should be a good Bentley show :)
