No the most desired Autavia but very nice none the less.


I've seen good ones go from £700 (without bracelet as this one) and top £1200 and I sold the one below recently for £1100 whihc was in very nice condition.

Indeed - I was interested in that Autavia of yours Bootsy - timing wasn't really right for me though. Why is this a less desirable model out of interest (I'm not being rude - just want to learn )

Just sold now for £1071. Seems fair enough, but was above what I was happy to spend on a watch with no real back-up/ don't know the seller etc.. Will hold on and see if another good one comes up soon....

Strong money for one of those especially on eBay.

It's the most common Autavia as it was part of a promotion with Viceroy cigarettes in the 70s and sold in it's thousands. Hence more on the market, lower price and less desirable. Lovely watches though

As a comparison -

£1500 on 'Heuer Boy' - known seller with 12 months guaraantee.

Pays your money and takes your choice I suppose.

Thanks Bootsy - nice to get some more info. I agree - seems like quite strong money bearing in mind it's eBay etc. Personally (as perhaps suggested by Steve), I'd choose to pay a bit more and buy from someone known and with some warranty/ back-up.

one of my (ex) heuers, possibly the rarest one in the world only other one is in the heuer museum, panda carrera triple dtae on original bracelet and mint - I miss this one

I've just been offered a triple date but not a Panda. However, far from mint!

Not sure whether to take it on as a project or not as it needs work.

Need some advice

One of the screw down crowns on my Sinn 103 ST SA no longer screws down. In fact it unscrews right off.
Is this a 'send back to Sinn' job to get fixed or would anyone know someone who could repair it in the UK, preferably London or around London?

Hand wind rather than auto doesn't worry me as I never wear a watch for long: just the odd evening or whatever.

I like the size and styling of this one, and it's a bit different.

Oh yes, can I buy as usual from an overseas seller? Believe it or not, I don't think it's ever arisen before .

I bought one of these about three years back, the longest I have ever owned a watch as they usually break! (or maybe I break them...)

Less than £100, sapphire glass and titanium case. My idea of value!

I've just pressed the button on ebay.de for a set of winter wheels and tyres for the wife's Polo so I hope so!

I hadn't heard of Kemmner before, looks interesting.

Apparently the Ebay seller (Erkahund) is the watch maker (Roland Kemmner) and sells direct. According to the link below, he used to work for Fricker and designed watches for Precista (PRS-2).

There is also mention of the 007 Bond-Rolex hommage that is also currently listed on Ebay. Although I'm not sure if that one just crosses the line into "faux-lex" territory.
