Managed to fit in a lovely run up to the North Norfolk coast yesterday to let the 356 stretch its legs after coming out of ‘winter hibernation’, and it developed a slightly blowing exhaust on the way up there. Unfortunately on the way back it got even worse, so today has been spent diagnosing the issue and trying to get things sorted before our planned event next weekend. Luckily it wasn’t a split/blown silencer (

) and only a gasket. New ones one the way courtesy of Paul and the team at PRS.
Also took the opportunity to check the valve clearances whilst having easy access, and all good. Just need an oil & filter change now and she’ll be all set for a summer of fun (

)

Just rolled off the ferry after a week’s drive in northern Spain, the Pyranees and west coast of France - now back to reality….

Lovely morning out with the local ‘Porsche Drivers Norfolk’ group to Bure Vally Classics. Lots of great examples of classic machinery, enjoying the Norfolk sunshine. The 356 didn’t look out of place, even if I do say so myself.

Gave the Lola-Porsche a bit of a run at Loton Park hill this morning, really need to go faster!
A full 2.2 secs slower than 2 years ago.
Race day tomorrow....

I was 1.5s off my best set 2 years ago Graham - you just have to accept the conditions as they are (especially silly the rain at first practice)
Sorry I could t chat earlier - had a scrutineering embarrassment which nearly set me off to Demon Tweaks in the motorhome but luckily was saved by the help of my co-competitors. Catch up tomorrow!

Dusted off the cobwebs and gave the ST a blast for the 1st time in 9 months. All ready for a run out to the Classics at the clubhouse show on Sunday.
