Probably easiest just to spend 5 mins having a quick read of Morgan's site -

As a brand it is owned by Rolex and is it's 'cheaper' versions yet still high quality as would befit a Rolex owned brand.
The best analogy I could make would probably be Technics (rolex) & Panasonic (tudor) in hi-fi terms in the 80s/90s...

Nope I'm talking the tiny little tritium pip/pearl...if you want a correct one.
Or you could always get a white service replacement luminova one...

Just acquired this.
A Heuer Carrera 2447S in completely original condition. Dates from 1965
I met the owner today to pick the watch up which has sat In a draw for many years, he couldn't even remember how he came by it!

Love the Carrera, have an early re-issue which is the only thing I paid 1million for. Lira that is!
On more mundane things, showing my ignorance, FAVRE LEUBA never heard of them quality or ?

Just out of interest, if I was going to buy a watch privately for say a couple of grand, is it the done thing to want to take the back off and how difficult is it to do?
Is it a special tool for each particular make or are they universal, or do you use sealing wax and a bar as I've seen done?

I always ask if I can open a watch if I'm buying it face to face. Remotely I will look at movement images.
I prefer to check the movement is correct, signed if it should be, signs of water ingression etc.
If you're buying from a trusted source than often they can provide pics or info for you.
There are a few different case backs out there. The 'ball' case back openers usually manage to open most and can be bought on eBay for a few quid.
Always a lot easier to open a case with bracelet removed if the watch has one. If it's on a strap then It's easier.
If the watch is vintage beware crusted up seals!

which meant it only sold for £300,000 a few minutes ago......
