A fabulously understated post ignoring the countless hours of fitting cutting and fettling to get to the welding moment.
Keep it up. Inspiring stuff.

Yes Gary,
Must of had the floor on & off 50 times, before committing to weld it on, but who wants to know that, this is show business

It's been a strange week, right from the offset the plan was to rebuild to factory spec 2.7 Targa, but a chance meeting with a chap selling Porsche parts on Ebay, lead me to visit to Rennsport, in Moreton on Marsh.
Not being very up on Porsche specialists, it was a bit of an eye opener to say the least at what they do therem ost cars get back dated, with lots of bespoke upgrades, making each car very individual.
Well it set my mind fizzing

So giving it some thought, it could be a turning point, as the body has just gone into primer, so not too late make changes to something like this....... what do you guys think

Been there twice, and fully understand why you are having thoughts..
I like modified cars.
If you fancy such a change then do it, the shell is in the perfect position now even if you want Big Arches on the rear.
Such a mod means big wheels and expense, but if that does it then imho do it.
Everything can be reversed by you or another.
Having said that, if you are looking to sell the car when done I would keep it stock.
If you intend to keep it for a few years, then follow your heart!

Thanks for the input chaps,
Yeah I know the Targa lost some of it's coupe appeal & putting lipstick on a pig won't transform it, however, the few changes I have in mind will improve the style a little imo, whithout going the radical Singer look.
Luckily there is local company too me that does a Singer style body kit & I went too look at, but the work involved would be huge, so I shelved that idea.
The company also do all the RSR, ST, Turbo & backdate panels as well, so there were plenty of options to consider.
I'm definitely going the long hood route & taking the impact bumpers off, the rest I'll just make up as I go along
