Took mine to the garage today. Will get it back in a fortnight or so. 18 months of planning and acquiring parts now coming to fruition. Will make a massive difference to the car.

Am off on hols shortly so will post pics of before and after when I'm back.

Cheers

Today i finished de-gooing the first of the wheelarches, following the heavy facial surgery of last week. A couple of coats of POR 15 and we are ready for more cutting tomorrow.

Waved good by to my good lady and little boy as they went off for 2 weeks in the Canaries today.

Then I had some double Porka fun

For starters I took my daughter for a run in the yellow one. Then got the blue one out too and going for a run in the Norfolk sunshine this evening.

Good to blow away the cobwebs.

I took off the dust cover, checked the oil, primed the carbs and kicked the tyres, and pressed her straight into wife and kids drop off/pick up duties :)

many thanks to thomas for starting this thread which shows to me the true ddk spirit.

it's a shame how few 'shout outs' for drives there's been here in the south since we've been caught up in this wave of increasing prices over the past few years.

i've met some great people i consider friends on ddk, people i would happily take a hit and stand up for.

we met driving our cars. hard, fast, ugly, immaculate, rusty, noisy, on two cylinders, burning quarts of oil on bends, right foot down.

take a look at the rat 356 on this thread. i don't know who owns that car, but i bet i'd be a better person for a chat and a pint or two with its owner.

long live this as the spirit of ddk. thomas, you've got your work cut out but we know you can do it :)

Mr Burma-Shave you are a very bad man. You make me want to sell everything for a 356. What is happening to me and is there a cure?

Mr decapman do you know Roupell Street in London's SE1? (all sorts of classic Citroen ownership happening there)

Cracking pub too :o)
