The car is finally in paint, looking back, I am really pleased with ging back to the original color.

The lighting in the pics is terrible but the color is just LOVELY in light, will sit up and stare at the pics for most of the night now..



Some progress on bumpers etc. also!

Picked up 2 sets of freshly rechromed 4-screw horn grills today! I polished them myself and left a mark or two to get a genuine feel, I know this might sound stupid but I didn´t want them to be "perfect".

Looks as if you're a little tight on space in the garage Jesse. Is that the reason? Isn't it amazing how much space a car - in peices - takes up!?
Super work though. you must be really pleased and excited. Do you get any sleep at night?

At the moment I´ve got stuff at three different places.

The body, and everything else getting painted at the painters, he has a paint booth built inside his garage so all pics of the paint-stuff are from either the booth or his workshop area.

All metal work pics are from my "rough" garage where I weld, grind and do the nasty stuff.

The pic of the horn grills is taken in a third place, a family owned space (garage) which is warm, light and a perfect place to assemble a car, hence I will be bringing the body there for interior and suspension-assembly when I´m done with that I´ll trailer it back to my rough garage where I´ll put in the engine and gearbox and hopefully I´ll pass the MOT which is due in May.

It´s been snowing loads here in Stockholm over the last couple of days which is a bummer since I dont have access to a covered transport.. According to plan I should pic up the shell on Friday but in this weather I´m afraid it will have to be postponed..

I´m afraid the pics I´ve posted of the shell are all I have but as soon as I´ve snapped more, I´ll post em!

Very nice colour, reminds me of the Acid Blau Carrera that we restored

Some more progress:



I´ll leave the original paint on the dash, just going brush up some minor areas.



Hinges painted satin black, (crappy pic)

Sound deadening dry fitted, needed some minor adjustments, will glue it in once I´m happy with the fit.



Washed my home constructed door panels and polished the fog lights - happy with the result!





Brought the inner door handles with me home to have them redone (wife is handy with the sewing machine)
