Again thanks for your kind words. To be honest, my future wife , has arranged most of it already. It's funny, when we were looking at venues I got the impression that they thought is was a 'shot gun' wedding due the short timings, little did they know we have been together since we were at school .

Sorry, it has been a while since I have posted/updated this thread. After a few weeks delay I finally picked the car today after it has been polished. The pictures do not do the car justice, the Gemini blue looks great.

Anyway here it is as of this afternoon. I will be adding to final pictures of the re-fit over the next few weeks.

Quick update:
Re-fit is going well, motor is in and suspension is done, most of the electrics are all done and lots of new parts have been being put back on.

In case anyone is still interested, all the panels back on and it looks like a complete car again.



Wheels are almost ready, the owner wants them polished with only minor back detailing.

Alan, slightly off topic, but I notice you have some VW show awards on your wall .. what were these for?

In my younger days I restored a few VWs and went to a few shows. I bought my first project car at 15, a very, very rusty 1970 beetle. That car took 5 years.. it was also a little out there, but hey I was young

The car has finally moved under it's own steam for the first time in 18 (ish) years. There are still lots of jobs to do and a few changes to make, such as wheels and ride height, but it finally looks like a proper 911 again. (PS the bonnet is not shut )
