Thanks!

I've not rolled the edge with wire - I've mentioned it above but I felt it wasn't needed; it could possibly bugger up the good work done so far; and potentially open another can of worms re corrosion

There's no sharp edge there - I've kept the flange that folds under (and that often collects crap etc) on each wing you've got the vertical crease and the the fold- under flange. All I've done is move the crease out so it's now in line with the metal next to it; the flange has been kept but I've adjusted it in places to make it more or less visible. The flange isn't much different to how it was originally.

I hope that explains it ...

Just get rid of the sunroof, Mark

You a bad man mark. Just spent the last half hour thinking that one through. No it's too much on top of everything else. Also I like having the sunroof on a hot day. But it would be nice to lose that weight from high up. No I can't. Is there a lot of work involved? I'd have to do the headlining then (though I could do a Jury style matting.....) do you weld the sunroof in? Isn't the gap too big? Think I'll read up on it

Mark,

It's not that bad a job, here's one I did last year.

Panel was from FennLane I believe

I'd discounted it in the basis that I can't tig weld yet. Also I'd thought of doing a carbon roof - but then that would need a roll cage

That Fenn lane panel looks doable....

Thinking it through though I'm going to leave it for another day - if I take this on as well there's a danger I won't get it back on the road for CLM (bearing in mind I've still got the other sill to do and a respray - oh and try and sort the oil leak on the engine)

I can come back it it as an individual project in a few years time

Thanks for the input though guys

Welded a couple more repairs on Saturday - that's the whole of one side repaired now and ready for fettlin'

As a little aside last night I pullled the trigger on a pair of these

From a Ferrari 348 no less! I liked the slightly retro look. I will be dying them.
