Just "borrow" the good lady's hair dryer when you want to take them off, a drop of heat loosens the glue a treat

Mind you I had an interesting experience with a rally plate I soap & water floated on to the Lancia, when I took it off the outline (traditional Monte shape) had etched itself into the paint !! Polished and polished, but it was darn hard to remove, in fact the faint outline was still on it when the car was sold, fortunately to a rallyman. Never seen that before or luckily since

IMHO:
Remove the '32' numbers. Far more convincing it is a racer with out the numbers 'cause racers MUST remove race numbers while on the road or risk an endirsement on your Race License! (or cover them completely)

Besides that, sure looks good!

No, sorry, no significance, just my lucky number.
I'm not a gambler and I don't see the point of taking a few hours to lose my money in the casino. So, I stride up to the roulette wheel, place all my money on 32, turn my back and walk away as the wheel spins. I've never been called back yet.

I wanted to fit a hand held fire extinguisher into the car and that little project was greatly advanced by a very welcome Christmas present from Andy (Lightweight_911).
Now some folk just give cards but not Andy. He gave me a Brey Krause fire extinguisher mount.
And what a wonderful gift it is. It's made especially to fit the existing seat track bolts of '69-73 911's and it is superbly fashioned from stainless steel with some beautiful Tig welding.

So, prompted by Andy's gift I bought a fire extinguisher.
I sourced a Lifeline ZERO 360 unit.
They are expensive but use a modern, highly efficient gaseous extinguishant.
They can operate in any orientation and are designed specifically for motorsport, providing excellent fire fighting in a compact package.

I just needed to fabricate a mount plate to affix the Lifeline hardware to the Brey-Krause and it was an easy fit.
The unit is nicely tucked under the leading edge of the passenger seat but falls easily to hand. Excellent result.

I`ve beeen wondering about extinguishers eversince the comments on how powder settles and can become inoperative over time and how freon is illegal these days a very bad for the environment. (Although there was a post on one of the American forums suggesting that a burning Porsche was a lot less green than a nine second whoosh of extinguishing gas. )

Co2 can be very effectve but the canisters are massive. I`ll be looking into this kit.... I`ll be back if Google throws up nothing helpful.
