Yep thats me Keith, back left...

Right then to bring this all up to speed.....

The Car is FINISHED !

.....at least to the point that I can do no more. The plan is to still give it to a local Porsche guy to set it up and then hopefully sort the TÜV out. This is where the story gets abit foggy. I am only a phone call away from him picking up the car, which will be in the next few weeks (the phone call at least ). I am still totally committed to the car, but as always other things have got it the way the last few months. Kids, Work, life etc etc.

I have afew big life decisions to make in the coming weeks also, nothing too serious but enough to take focus away from the fun stuff. If it stops snowing this weekend I will post some new pictures....the ModRod is still a looker, even if I do say so myself  , and I really appreciated the interest you guys still have in it :)

Made up some additional Carb rain shields to fit under the decklid mesh.

Aluminium sheet cut out using kitchen scissors, which I 'acquired' from my Mam many years ago :)

Bent a lip edge in the vice, and fitted...

Is that High level light in behind the ventilation grill? I've been thinking of doing that, although it's quite tight for space. What LED strip did you use?

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Hi Jon,

LED strip does sit behind vent grill. I had removed the original drip tray earlier in the build, same as on the 911 R.

I made up a new tray with some folded Aluminium to carry the LED strip, and then mounted it to the bolts that I had welded in place to hold the rear window straps. The cable routes down the channel in C-pillar, and comes out through the parcel shelf in the engine bay.

LED strip is approx 35cm long.

Ok, today isn't actually TUV day. Today is the day the car was picked up to be taken to http://www.classicboxers.de/ to be setup and fettled.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52499&hilit=onassis

The TUV process will begin next week...hopefully.

Anyway, after a late night (3am) wrapping wiring and sorting out the final details, the car was rolled out this morning ready for collection. Thankfully after all the bad weather last week, today was dry and calm.

This is it, I can do no more.....
