Had a couple of days away in the the Lake District to celebrate (if that's the right word) my 43rd birthday . After dinner on the first night my wife gave me this shiny new Monaco...
Looks like my CLM watch choice is sorted ..

May interest some of you...
I've had to jump a few hurdles and let a treasured piece go to gain this beauty but....
With a Classic Porsche fan as a Heuer collector it's often assumed a Heuer Monaco is the grail due to the Le Mans connection. I've got a nice Monaco but always fancied one of these and have waited for a minter. 'Jo Siffert' will be remembered for many things including a strong connection with racing Porsches and of course his untimely death at the wheel of a Formula 1 car in the early 70s
With Jack Heuer
He was a big Heuer fan and often sold them in the pits to other drivers. The early White faced Autavia is synonymous with him and reffered to as the 'Siffert'

So on it's way is a Heuer Autavia 'Jo Siffert'
Mint, amazingly with it's original box and with it's original and full size Gay Freres bracelet

You are making a bit of a habit of this (unearthing mint watches). That looks really nice, and I hope you have a lot of fun wearing it!!

Ive done a similar thing - found my 1133B a while ago - but am now looking for an early GMT Autavia - please shout if you come across one.

i finally (12-18mo since starting) finished restoring an old datejust, just intime for my dads 65th birthday/retirement bash on saturday! its been a long process, and lots of lessons learned along the way. the spec changed a couple of times too, but i'm very happy with the way it turned out..
its a "bitsa" and theres no paperwork, but everything is gen and (as far as im aware) correct, except the bracelet; i put this one on to finish it off, hopefully the gen one i brought will turn up before the weekend as i'm not very happy with the fit-up of the end-links on this bracelet and would rather have it 100% done before gifting it
ended up getting a good deal on a bare 3035 movement which was missing a couple of bits and needed a total overhaul and service. I sourced replacement parts from cousinsuk and found an old guy near my house to strip it, clean, service, re-assemble and regulate it for me, and he did a great job for very little money! its running around +2s a day which i'm very happy with given the age of the watch..
the rest of the parts were collected over the course of the last 12mo and finally assembled by my own fair hand last night. The crystal is slightly out of alignment (cyclops angled slightly upwards vs. datewheel window) but i can't remove it to re-align so decided to leave it be rather than risk damaging it
anyway, few pics, hope you all approve!..

Very nice great work.
I've been busy on the watch front.
I recently sold my 73633G 3 dial grey vintage Heuer Monaco and soon realised how much I missed it. I
love the manual Monacos and the 'greys' especially.
After various discussions, worries and tribulations I did a deal on a 740303G Monaco. A 2 dial manual Monaco is a rarity in blue or grey and there seems to be only one other known grey in existence.
I would be as bold to suggest it is in mint and as you can see has it's original caseback sticker.
Everything feels very tight and it has a feel to it like no other manual Monaco I've had my hands on.
So to cut a long story short I'm very pleased with it and its' currently on my wrist!
A few quick snaps in my office.
PS - I've also got a Monaco McQueen 1133B Transitional on it's way to me but keep it quiet!

Oh and I've just acquired this 1133B mcQueen.
It's a very early 'transitional' model. I acquired it from a pawn broker in Seattle. Happy days!

Lots of interested parties. I'm pitching it at a price I'd be happy to part with it therefore hoping to keep onto it for a while. It's one of those no offers take it or leave it kind of prices!
Bought a 73633B in but sold that straight out.
