Wayne, apart from starting in first to 2nd, did the whole of Prescott in 2nd gear, never change a gear, just revved the tits off it.
This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for with the mega engine rebuild.

I went to the Rindt Charity Open day in the 993. The roads were clear accept when there was a speed restriction on the M40 due to a cyclist cycling along the motorway, followed by a police car ushering him up a slip road!

These 2 caught my eye as it's the colour my 73 should be, Tangerine.

But my favourite car was this RHD 1973 911s Targa. It had a respray but the rest looked pretty original, which I liked. Interestingly it had a rear impact bar. I've only every seen this accessory on LHD cars.

Do you need to shorted your gear ratios?

Not at all.
Mike Bainbridge put a 'longer' 2nd in the box years ago, and the last thing i need is to have to change gear in this car!

There is nothing more I can do mechanically to get the change certain when in a rush, and as you well know, every tenth counts, so a change is about 1 second each time and before this year I would change gear 7 times, all the dreaded 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd where getting 4th or even first is a time/engine disaster.

As proven yesterday, i have slashed over 1.5 seconds off the PB by simply changing gear once, 1st to 2nd and then hang on and aim the thing.

Yes, Mike Luck of TVR preparation fame.
Formidable background, started racing when he was still in the womb!
It is Mike's first year, first time on the hills, so next year will be very hard.
He could still take the Championship Class win from me as only 6 race runs to go but I have a growing lead.

The results are 14 highest race points from 18 race runs.
If I keep him one place behind me it is ideal!

NEVER in my 30 years of doing this championship have I felt so competitive.
I want my name on the Trophy for the 5th time!!

Neil, the car number is 104, you can get to it by inching through the video and the results as they come up.

The chassis was set-up by one who knows the hills, McClurg Motorsport, and the dampers tuned with a private test day at Curbourough sprint course with Sean McClurg himself.
Sean was a demon hillclimber before going historic circuit racing.

He has since done a lot of hillclimb chassis set ups.

Magic car to be in at speed, but on my first practice run the seat belts came loose at 79 mph coming into a sweeping left hander, that soiled my pants.
