What they actually mean is - sort it out, you’re far
from satisfying me.

I think it is how the filter is stressed.
If the pipes are tightly curved on one or both ends, a crack and leak is likely.
I have a metal and glass unit on the race Lola clipped onto abulkhead, pipes all straight.

Little stress and little vibration.
Recleanable too!

Did a check on all theusualfailure spots, mainly electrical.
Front wheelbearings laughably loose, so adjusted with some grease added.

Been taking thiscar to thesame village old Sckool garage foe 30 years, tested over a pit.

Hope handbrake (emergency brake) will impress enough.

The new ground strap I fitted lacks the character of the rest of the undercarriage

Navigated in a single-venue rally in Cornwall today, alongside Rob Cavanagh (grey 911SC). Was OK, first stage, queasy on second, threw up on third and fourth... Managed to make it through to the final ninth stage, but decided navigating on a rally car is not for me...

Spent most of the day lying under the 911T with my legs sticking out in the sun. Legs are pinker than these guys at Glastonbury... lobster thermidore.

I think you can play straight and ask them to produce their evidence. They may cave if they don't have it. But I know what you mean. I certainly wouldn't lie. But I object morally and on the grounds of justice when a fundamentally honest and law-abiding person who is fully vested in society is hit with a penalty because it's easy when an advisory letter could have been given as a precursor. Meanwhile real crimes by people more fundamentally at war with the concept of us all working together and playing fair within the rules, are ignored.

We went on a Classic Tour in Cornwall to celebrate the centenary of Truro & District Motor Club. It was founded in 1922 by Donald Healey and some of his friends, so it was fitting that it started and finished at Healey's Cyder Farm near Truro. The tour was about 100 miles around the north and south coast, passing by RAF Portreath where KS was busy enjoying himself (?????!!), a good lunch at Donald Healey's former home, Trebah, and a run up Tregrehan hillclimb.






Not quite 400 miles altogether by the time we arrived home, and the 914/6 didn't miss a beat

Nice to see proper old Porsche underpinnings, rather than the sanitised squeaky clean stuff that rarely gets used!

On Saturday I fitted a set of new CL (or should it be C££££ ?) brake pads.
Despite the expense, I haven't found another that stop as well, and give such confidence.



How is it that one pad out of eight always wears fastest, despite starting with new discs, pads and fresh calipers??

OK. OK. Mrs B is picking up a metal filter and I will straighten on the pipe when I fit tomorrow.

I must admit, a 19mm master cylinder and a set of the CL race pads transformed the brakes on my 914. Bloody noisy but what a difference!

Why does a larger master cylinder help? More leverage?
