Did some 'fettling' in readiness for two days at Tregrehan hillclimb. I, too, hope the forecast is wrong...

Maybe the long trip North to the “King of Hills”, Doune, will be really worthwhile.
We are supposed to have rain tonight and tomorrow morning (Friday), and clearing for Saturday and Sunday.
Sounds OK to me!

Prescott looks to be light showers now, whereas earlier this week it was heavy rain. Wets on board just in case!

Received and fitted my rev counter back from JDO as it has been "upgraded" to work with the 123 dis that I now have. Thankfully all works, was sceptical as speaking with my local specialist he was seeing success rates hit and miss meaning they had to go back for further work.

Planning to be there as a spectator Wayne, camera and 1000mm lens to shoot you all!

Getting old is not good.

Took delivery of Hayburner Magazine with my 912 featured in it

Enjoyed hearing the unmistakeable sound of the Flat 6 air-cooled engine when I started my car after its prolonged winter hibernation. Took a short trip down the road, to check tyre pressures. MOT next week. I know that I don't need to have an MOT inspection, but I prefer it that way.

The car and I have been 'married' for 47 years now.

The parcel shelf looks a bit worse for wear. Replacements available ( variations in model year) and a hundred or so spot welds to drill out.

Only a hundred? Oh good, I started this as a break from drilling the floor out.

It actually looks like I got off lightly. I've yet to give it all a thorough stabbing with the screwdriver but tentatively, that say four by four inch patch near the camera is the only bad part. That's the spot where water was dripping in and on to the (already replaced) right hand back seat.

On the first run, I nailed it from the line and it went straight to the red line (well, it turned the shift light on as the tacho isn't working), shifted into second and the same again. There's no comparison with the old set-up - 125bhp to 185bhp in one hit works wonders.
