Thanks Oliver, going to try using springs instead of clips, might be the answer, unless you have the correct airbox of course............!

what about the mark bates EB motorsport airbox designed to fit slide throttle trumpets, but would also work with high butterfly? slides on and off ie the work of 10 secs, has neoprene facings for a good seal

really pleased with this my latest find, a NOS racing rear view mirror!
Never seen one before only heard about them, so had been looking for one for a few years when this one came up in Italy.
It's longer, narrower and much lighter than the standard one, they're actually from a 914-6 but the racing boys utilised
them for the ST and RSR's.
Mind you didn't think to try the 914 guys, ebay will probably be awash with them now!

If it is I want one far better to know who is coming than where you are going ......and those Durrant mirrors are frankly rubbish.... I was looking at racing mirrors that fit on the roll cage head rail but this is so much better.
How on earth do you do sustain this level of bonkers detail.

morning Dougie
its fair to say that I dont know cos I havent tried it. BUT Tuthills tell me it will. they run Mark's car and have fitted this airbox to a couple of others I believe. Paul Green is your man
interestingly there is another air intake at the back of the airbox which could be connected to a NACAR type duct...I am mulling over whether this would be a sub zero level of coolness on my car (lets say, a duct moulded into one of the rear quarterlights) or look naff. Upside is a ram air effect at higher speeds

Having given the Museum Martini car a good look over at Essen, we're having to go back over a bit of paintwork at Sportwagen,
which obviously Bruce is really thrilled about! While that's going on I've finally managed to finish the two outstanding engine
parts that have taken the most time.
The mfi pump as well has having the RSR internals fitted, now actually looks the part with it's new front casing which has taken
the best part of two years to come about. The distributor has taken 3 years to build since I first had an original to work from, a
long time but worth it, really happy how it's turned out. The internals alone have taken forever to research and develop with the
work having been done in the US. The cap and rotor arm were acquired at Essen last year.
So here's how the engine's looking at the moment:
The mfi pump support bracket's not fitted up here, it's off ready for the engine to go back on the dyno for the last testing
before going in the car.

Beautiful work
