maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

Fitted the correct type of speedo - can't believe that I never noticed that it was previously a later 74 type!

I quite regularly fancy an early Merak. Then I remember that episode and change my mind.

Cut some new M8 bolts to secure the carbs. If I updated to VIP will I be able to load a picture without it failing 5 times first?Image

Refitted to 911R spec manifolds to the car, they have been matched to the inlet ports. Nice comparison of new on the left and the original on the right

Graham, more hoping for better breathing in the mid to upper range, as the manifold now matched up with the 38mm 1979 large port head, the original manifold is only 32mm at that point. I did a cam change to the DC40 cam as well

Tackled this tricky little spot on the 911T below where the windscreen seal had failed. Amazing how something so small can suck up so much time.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Assume this is with Ben? Having used him on your recommendation a week or so ago I know it will be awesome! Best of luck.

Yes, session with the rollers with Ben using the screwdriver.

Breaking-in the engine first, check carb balance, then setting the advance at tick over, 3500 and 8000 rpm.

Deep breath!

Thanks Graham, hope to get a video of the power run.
