Collected the 911 from it's 6 months in storage while i did the Lola's engine.

Started first time, just 2 gallons of ESSO E5 in the tank, turned the key...
Verrroooom, off it started on all 6 and soon settled to a gentle hum as usual.

Just as it always has since installed in 1997. Not bad for 140,000 miles, never been apart.

Woke the 356 up after a 3 month sleep to drive to an anniversary stay. Took a bit for the fuel to get to the carbs but, on reflection, that means oil gets around the engine before it runs. Once warm ran very nicely and starts on the button. Stopped to check the tyre pressures as it felt a bit soft. Had 25/29 put in 26/30 and the drive was much better. Perfect car for a perfect overnight stayImage

Made the most of the sunshine at Curborough Sprint course. Somebody fancied a ride as a passenger. There's nothing quite like the sound of a flat six pursuing you at 100mph. VIDEO

(Not today, yesterday…)
Filled the tank in the green car.
Went for a little sit down and think after that.
Taking both cars to Le Mans Classic is an unlikely extravagance this time around!

That's a very good way of getting the high temp paint to set!

Having read some recommendations I am posting live from the couch in BH Performance rolling road waiting for the verdict on the 912……

How many ponies escaped the paddock since 68? Update later!

And the results are in…… all ponies alive and well… 90hp @5000 it was still pulling but no sense in screaming her. Great drive back, much smoother pickup, very happy.

Was running so rich I have been advised to change oil….eek.
